Melbourne

Bishop Stephen HaleMelbourne Director

Stephen is a graduate of Moore College but has spent most of his ministry years in Melbourne. He headed the diocesan youth ministry, was a regional bishop, and for the past 10 years was vicar of St Hilary’s church, a large evangelical ministry in Melbourne’s east. Stephen has encouraged links with OCA for many years, valuing the strategic nature of our work. We welcomed Stephen to the team in February 2020 and, as well as his primary role of promoting the ministry of OCA in Victoria, Stephen will also have a part in extending our Africa Mile Deep Strategy. Since that strategy focusses on the 105 Anglican colleges in that continent, it is a natural fit for him.

Robyn CoopesPerth Director

Robyn is a born and bred West Australian, and loves living in Perth with her husband Marty and 2 high school age children. Before having children, she worked for 15 years as a Chartered Accountant within the corporate tax field, then took a year out to study at Trinity Theological College in Perth, completing a Diploma of Theology. Robyn’s past opportunities to serve Jesus and His church include serving with the Australian Fellowship of Evangelical Students (AFES), Perth Women’s Convention, Trinity Theological College, various ministries at her church, St Matthew’s Anglican Church, Shenton Park and, of course, as a mother and wife. Marty and Robyn have loved being part of the globally strategic ministry of OCA and Robyn considers it a great privilege to introduce people in WA to OCA’s ministry so they too can be part of God’s work of training up leaders for His church around the world.
