Overseas Council Australia partners with 54 Bible colleges in Indonesia. With 35 million Christians in the country, these institutions are essential for the training and development of the next generation of Christian leaders.
Join us to hear about OCA’s strategy for resourcing Bible colleges in this ethnically and religiously diverse context.
As the fourth most populous country in the world, Indonesia has more than ten times the population of Australia, with two hundred and sixty four million people sprawled across the archipelago of islands.
What are the challenges faced by pastors and ministers in such a densely populated country? What strategies are successful in reaching out to the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation? And what improvements are needed now for Bible colleges to meet rigorous new accreditation standards introduced by the Indonesian government?
Join us to hear from our guest speaker, Dr Samuel Sidjabat, Principal of Tyrannus Bible Seminary and Chairman of the Board for PASTI (the Evangelical Theological Education Fellowship in Indonesia).
Samuel has a key role in leading many theological colleges to continue to become relevant and effective institutions. PASTI partners with 54 evangelical theological colleges across the country and is passionate about equipping students to a high standard for essential church ministries in Indonesia.
We look forward to hosting Samuel at our dinner series and hearing about how the gospel is capturing hearts and minds in this beautiful and complex nation.
