Irene Wangari's Story

My name is Irene Wangari and I am aged 29 years. I am saved and love Christ Jesus as my friend and saviour. I come from a family of nine that is five brothers and four sisters; my mother is widowed and is a stay home mum. My father died ten years ago, all my sisters are married but only two of my brothers are married.

None of my family members is in formal employment but only deal in small scale business.

My faith in Christ came as a result of soul searching and having no satisfaction in life.
I decided to give my life to Christ and I have found peace in my heart. I’ve been in the ministry for fifteen months now serving through:

• Mission and evangelism.
• Theological Education by Extension
• Leading in the morning services in our church.

I joined Carlile because most colleges do not offer evangelism training, I also wanted a college that would help me in my spiritual growth, and help me to transform to be like Christ.

After I am through with my studies here, my diocese will decide if they will ordain me. I will be serving the Lord in the capacity that He will enable me to serve Him effectively.

I have difficulty raising my fee since I depend entirely on friends and well wishers to contribute towards my expenses
